Ray Sandoval is an artist and craftsman celebrated for his hand-made horse bits and spurs.

He fell in love with early Californian bits and spurs hand-made by artisans like Mike Morales and Less Garcia during his career in bronc and bull riding and quickly took up the trade for himself. He is recognized widely for his poinsettia bit, which can be found on the SRV wine label.

Many of his collected works can be found in the Gene Autry Museum in Los Angeles, CA.
